Job Opening: Auditor
Position is for an Auditor (internal title: Senior Auditor) with an accounting firm located in Southern California. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist the audit team in planning the audit, execution of the audit program andpreparation of financial reports; Assist the audit team in entering data for computer applications and preparing work papers, trial balances, depreciation schedules and engagement correspondences; In coordination with the Audit Supervisor and/or Senior Auditor III, responsible for the identification and resolution of engagement issues as well as improvements that may be recommended to management; Under the direction of an Audit Supervisor and/or Senior Auditor III, may be asked to perform all stages of the audit (planning, fieldwork, andreporting); Perform research on technical accounting issues; perform all work in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards), and GAGAS (Generally AcceptedGovernment Auditing Standards); Work with clients in gaining an understanding of their business and apply GAAP, GAAS and GAGAS; budget planning, cost accounting, financial analysis and preparation of required management and government reports; compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts; analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position; audit contracts, orders, and vouchers; and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement; and as required, from time to time, establish, modify, documents, and coordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures. 

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 3 years of experience.
