Marlon Flores brings more than 25 years of experience in public accounting and industry, serving organizations across the manufacturing, distribution, retail, technology, financial services, and nonprofit sectors.
His areas of focus include financial statement audits, complex accounting and financial reporting, internal controls, assurance, governance, and regulatory compliance. He has led audit engagements for emerging growth companies and large multinational enterprises.
Prior to joining Vasquez + Company LLP in 2026, Marlon was an Audit & Assurance Partner with Grant Thornton, where he worked on global audits, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) reporting requirements, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and cross-border financial reporting. He also completed a two-year secondment in Japan as a resident audit manager.
Marlon previously served as Accounting and Tax Director for Steinway and began his career with Ernst & Young in the Philippines. Earlier in his career, he taught accounting and tax and authored Integrated Cost Accounting: Principles and Applications.
Marlon earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, with Academic Distinction, from the Technological Institute of the Philippines, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He holds CPA licenses in California, Washington, and Florida.
