Roger Martinez leads the audit practice at Vasquez + Company LLP and oversees the firm's quality control program. He has extensive experience serving government agencies, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, educational institutions, regulated utilities, and privately held businesses.
Roger’s areas of focus include financial statement audits, Single Audits, employee benefit plan audits, internal control reviews, and other assurance services.
Prior to joining Vasquez in 2012, Roger was a Partner in KPMG’s National Office, where he led public sector engagements and provided technical guidance on accounting and auditing standards. He also serves on the boards of nonprofit organizations and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO), the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce (LAACC), and several other professional and community organizations.
Roger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles.
